Walai.id, Jakarta – Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kominfo) telah mempercepat dan memperkuat upaya penanganan konten negatif di Internet selama beberapa waktu terakhir, Rabu 4/10/2023.
Direktur Jenderal Aplikasi Informatika Kementerian Kominfo, Semuel A. Pangerapan, menegaskan bahwa langkah-langkah ini bertujuan untuk menjaga kebersihan, kesehatan, dan keamanan ruang digital.
Semuel A. Pangerapan menyatakan bahwa Kementerian Kominfo telah mengendalikan konten negatif sesuai dengan tugas dan wewenangnya.
Hal ini sebagai respons atas instruksi dari Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika, Budi Arie Setiadi, yang memerintahkan Ditjen Aptika (Aplikasi Informatika) untuk mengambil tindakan penghapusan dan pemutusan akses terhadap situs web yang menyajikan konten judi online.
Selama proses penanganan konten negatif, Kementerian Kominfo telah melakukan identifikasi, analisis, dan verifikasi terhadap jutaan situs web, alamat protokol internet (IP), dan aplikasi untuk menemukan konten negatif sebanyak mungkin di Internet.
“Proses analisis dan verifikasi ini telah berhasil mengidentifikasi ratusan ribu situs web, IP, dan aplikasi yang memuat konten negatif, yang kemudian akan dilakukan pemutusan akses,” jelas Semuel A. Pangerapan.
Semuel juga mengungkapkan bahwa selama proses identifikasi, analisis, dan verifikasi tersebut, ada kemungkinan bahwa beberapa situs web tidak memuat konten negatif tetapi terkena dampak, sehingga tidak dapat diakses sebagian atau seluruhnya di jaringan internet.
“Setelah melalui serangkaian evaluasi, kami melakukan pemulihan akses pada beberapa situs web yang terdampak,” tambahnya.
Kementerian Kominfo menyampaikan permohonan maaf atas ketidaknyamanan yang mungkin dialami oleh pengguna Internet dan menegaskan komitmennya untuk terus memperbaiki sistem penanganan konten negatif di Internet.
“Kementerian Kominfo memohon maaf atas insiden ini. Kami juga tetap berkomitmen untuk mengurangi risiko yang dapat merugikan masyarakat maupun Penyelenggara Sistem Elektronik (PSE),” ungkap Semuel A. Pangerapan.
Direktur Jenderal Aptika Kementerian Kominfo menegaskan bahwa mereka terus melakukan evaluasi sistem penanganan konten negatif guna meminimalkan potensi kesalahan teknis dan kesalahan manusia dalam proses identifikasi dan verifikasi.
