Beberapa komoditas bapok mengalami penurunan harga, seperti beras, bawang merah, dan cabai. Namun, daging ayam ras dan telur ayam ras mengalami kenaikan harga.
Mendag menekankan bahwa kenaikan harga beras disebabkan oleh mundurnya masa tanam dan panen padi akibat gangguan iklim seperti El Nino.
Oleh karena itu, ia mendorong masyarakat untuk memilih beras SPHP sebagai alternatif yang cukup stoknya, berkualitas, dan harganya terjangkau.
