Walai.id, Maros – Pemerintah Kabupaten Maros dan Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran (STIP) Jakarta Badan Pengembangan SDM Perhubungan Laut Kementerian Perhubungan melakukan kerjasama Pelatihan dan Basic Safety Training – Kapal Layar Motor (BST-KLM) dan Surat Keterangan Kecakapan (SKK) 60 Mil.
Untuk tahap pertama, Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama 6 hari di Grand Mall Waterboom Kabupaten Maros, mulai pada tanggal 21 s/d 26 Maret 2022.
Kabid Perhubungan Dinas PUTR.PP (Pekerjaan Umum, Tata Ruang, Perhubungan dan Pertanahan) Maros , Muhammad Darwis, SE., MM saat dikonfirmasi, jumat (25/03/2022).
Dia menjelaskan Diklat ini bertujuan melatih dan mengembangkan sumber daya manusia masyarakat maros melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat khususnya nelayan Kabupaten Maros yang berada di Kecamatan Pesisir Bontoa, Lau, Maros Baru dan Marusu.
Ia pun mengapresiasi langkah Bupati Maros yang menjadi inisiator kegiatan ini sehingga Kabupaten Maros mendapat kuota dari Kementrian Perhubungan sehingga sangat membantu masyarakat dalam pengetahuan dan pengembangan SDM tentang keselamatan pelayaran dan tata cara berlayar di laut dan sungai.
Adapun jumlah masyarakat nelayan yang berada di wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Maros yang mengikuti Pelatihan Diklat ini untuk tahap pertama sejumlah 150 orang. Dan akan menyusul tahap kedua sebanyak 150 orang lagi di bulan berikutnya.
Sementara Bupati Maros, Chaidir Syam mengungkapkan keprihatinannya atas kondisi salah satu warga Pattallassang Kecamatan Bontoa yang masih dalam status pencarian tim SAR di muara sungai Pangkep akibat kecelakaan saat mencari ikan. Sehingga ia berharap dengan diklat ini maka kecelakaan bagi nelayan di laut atau sungai bisa diminimalisir.
