Walai.id, Maros – Bupati Maros, Dr. H.A.S Chaidir Syam, S.IP., MH, beserta Wakil Bupati Hj. Suhartina Bohari, S.E., turut hadir dalam acara buka puasa bersama yang diselenggarakan oleh Badan Pengelola UNESCO Global Geopark Maros-Pangkep, Maros, 7 April 2024.
Acara ini berlangsung di Sekretariat BPMP UNESCO Global Geopark, yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Turikale.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Maros bergabung dengan anggota Badan Pengelola serta para pemangku kepentingan lainnya untuk bersama-sama dalam momen berbuka puasa dalam suasana kebersamaan dan keakraban.
Acara buka puasa bersama ini merupakan bentuk kegiatan sosial dan silaturahmi yang diinisiasi oleh Badan Pengelola UNESCO Global Geopark sebagai upaya untuk mempererat hubungan antara pemerintah daerah dan komunitas setempat dalam rangka mendukung pengelolaan Geopark Maros-Pangkep.
Selain itu, acara ini juga menjadi momentum untuk berdiskusi dan bertukar informasi mengenai perkembangan terbaru dalam pengelolaan Geopark serta upaya-upaya yang dilakukan untuk mempromosikan dan melestarikan potensi alam dan budaya yang ada di wilayah tersebut.
Dalam sambutannya, Bupati Maros menyampaikan apresiasi atas upaya Badan Pengelola UNESCO Global Geopark dalam memperjuangkan pelestarian dan pengembangan Geopark Maros-Pangkep sebagai warisan dunia yang penting bagi masyarakat setempat maupun Indonesia secara keseluruhan.
“Kami berterima kasih atas dedikasi dan kerja keras Badan Pengelola dalam menjaga kelestarian Geopark Maros-Pangkep. Semoga melalui kerjasama yang baik antara pemerintah daerah, masyarakat, dan berbagai pihak terkait, kita dapat terus mempromosikan serta melindungi kekayaan alam dan budaya yang dimiliki oleh Geopark ini,” ujar Bupati dalam sambutannya.
Acara buka puasa bersama ini juga diisi dengan berbagai kegiatan sosial dan edukasi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pelestarian lingkungan dan budaya serta memperkuat rasa memiliki terhadap Geopark Maros-Pangkep sebagai aset berharga bagi generasi mendatang.
