Melalui pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis projek, Mendikbudristek ingin mendorong peserta didik untuk mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
Tujuannya adalah agar lima asas Pancasila tidak hanya menjadi hafalan, melainkan juga dapat diterapkan sebagai pedoman dalam berperilaku yang relevan dalam kehidupan manusia.
Mendikbudristek juga menyatakan bahwa peringatan Hari Kesaktian Pancasila adalah momentum yang tepat untuk memastikan keberlanjutan Gerakan Merdeka Belajar dan Merdeka Berbudaya. Perubahan dan terobosan yang telah terjadi harus diperluas manfaatnya dan dampaknya harus ditingkatkan.
Menurut Mendikbudristek, Gerakan Merdeka Belajar dan Merdeka Berbudaya merupakan salah satu upaya dalam mempertahankan persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa. Dalam empat tahun terakhir, seluruh ekosistem pendidikan dan kebudayaan telah bergerak bersama dan menyaksikan perubahan besar yang signifikan di kedua bidang tersebut.
Mendikbudristek juga menyoroti Kurikulum Merdeka yang telah diterapkan di lebih dari 13 ribu satuan pendidikan serta program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) yang telah memberikan keleluasaan dalam belajar dan berkarya kepada lebih dari 460 ribu mahasiswa di luar kampus.
