Walai.id, Maros – Bupati H.A.S Chaidir Syam, S.IP., MH., dan Wakil Bupati Hj. Suhartina Bohari, SE., beserta Forkopimda Kabupaten Maros, resmi menyelenggarakan deklarasi Pemilu Damai Tahun 2024 yang disaksikan oleh Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan (Sulsel).
Acara berlangsung dalam suasana kekeluargaan di Ruang Pola Kantor Bupati Maros pada Senin, 02 Oktober 2023.
Dalam sambutannya, Bupati Maros menegaskan komitmennya untuk menjaga keamanan dan kelancaran Pemilu mendatang.
Bupati menyatakan, “Alhamdulillah, dengan Pj. Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan sebagai saksi, kami bersama seluruh pemangku kepentingan di Maros berkomitmen untuk mengawal dan memastikan kesuksesan Pemilu yang aman dan damai pada Tahun 2024.”
Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Sulsel, Bahtiar Baharuddin, memberikan apresiasi terhadap langkah yang diambil oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Maros.
Bahtiar mengungkapkan, “Dari Maros, kita bersama-sama menyuarakan pesan perdamaian dan kedamaian, untuk menjaga kelancaran Pemilu 2024, khususnya di wilayah Sulsel dan seluruh Indonesia.”
Deklarasi ini menandai kesungguhan pemerintah daerah dalam memastikan bahwa proses Pemilu akan berlangsung dengan aman dan damai.
Ini juga mengirimkan pesan penting tentang perdamaian, persatuan, dan bahaya politik identitas kepada masyarakat di seluruh wilayah Kabupaten Maros.
Inisiatif ini menjadi langkah kunci dalam pencegahan konflik berbasis suku, agama, ras, dan antargolongan (SARA), serta penanganan berita palsu atau hoaks yang dapat mengganggu ketertiban dalam ruang digital.
