Walai.id. Jakarta – Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kominfo) mengapresiasi komitmen perusahaan teknologi multinasional Nvidia dalam membangun Indonesian Artificial Intelligence Nation atau Pusat Kecerdasan Artifisial (AI) di Indonesia.
Menurut Menkominfo Budi Arie Setiadi, Nvidia berencana untuk bekerja sama dengan PT Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison Tbk dalam pembangunan Pusat AI di Solo Technopark, Kota Solo, Jawa Tengah, pada tahun 2024 dengan investasi senilai USD 200 juta atau sekitar Rp3 Triliun.
Konsep pembangunan Pusat AI dipusatkan pada infrastruktur telekomunikasi dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia (SDM) atau talenta digital.
“Sudah disampaikan Pak Vikram Sinha (CEO Indosat) ke Pak Walikota Solo (Gibran Rakabuming Raka) bahwa Indosat dan Nvidia komitmen untuk investasi dalam bentuk infrastruktur dan peningkatan sumberdaya manusia,” ungkap Menkominfo, di Jakarta, Pada Rabu, 3/4/2024.
Wakil Menteri Kominfo Nezar Patria menambahkan bahwa kerja sama antara Nvidia dan Pemerintah telah dimulai sejak beberapa tahun lalu dengan tujuan meningkatkan kualitas talenta digital Indonesia di bidang AI.
“Pada tahun 2022 – 2023, Nvidia juga berkomitmen membantu pendidikan hampir 20 ribu mahasiswa Indonesia untuk meningkatkan skill-nya di bidang AI,” jelasnya.
Pembangunan Pusat AI ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari komitmen jangka panjang Nvidia di Indonesia melalui kerja sama lima tahunan.
“Kerja sama ini sangat strategis dan kita berharap ada transfer teknologi sehingga kita tidak hanya menjadi pengguna, tapi juga menjadi bagian dari pemain AI yang diperhitungkan baik di kawasan maupun di tingkat global,” tambahnya.
Dengan adanya Pusat AI di Indonesia, diharapkan akan terjadi percepatan pengembangan industri AI di tanah air dan meningkatkan peran Indonesia dalam lanskap industri AI global.
