Walai.id, Jakarta – Irjen Sandi Nugroho, Kepala Divisi Humas Polri, mengajak seluruh pimpinan redaksi media untuk bekerja sama dalam meningkatkan literasi masyarakat terkait sebaran informasi di media sosial.
Dalam acara Piramida (Ngopi Bareng Pimpinan Media) di Restoran Pulau Dua, Senayan, Jakarta, pada Senin 20/11/2023. Sandi menggarisbawahi pentingnya memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat untuk menghindari penyebaran hoaks.
“Kita perlu memberikan edukasi literasi dan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat agar mereka menjadi warga yang taat hukum, menghormati etika, tata krama, dan kesantunan, serta menjunjung tinggi kejujuran,” ujar Sandi. Komitmen tersebut diutarakan dalam rangka menciptakan masyarakat yang lebih bijak dalam mengonsumsi informasi di era media sosial.
Selain itu, Sandi menekankan pentingnya kebijaksanaan dalam menggunakan media sosial agar tidak berdampak negatif pada penggunanya. Dia berharap agar pimpinan media juga turut serta dalam melakukan pengawasan terhadap seluruh anggota kepolisian yang mungkin terlibat dalam pelanggaran etika.
“Sama-sama kita awasi anggota kepolisian yang terindikasi melakukan pelanggaran, tegur mereka, dan bantu memperbaiki diri agar kita bisa membangun pesta demokrasi yang aman, damai, dan kondusif,” imbuh Sandi. Keberhasilan pengawasan bersama ini diharapkan dapat mendukung Polri dalam menjalankan pesta demokrasi lima tahunan dengan baik dan tanpa hambatan.
Acara tersebut turut dihadiri oleh Komjen Wahyu Widada, Kepala Badan Reserse Kriminal Polri, yang juga menegaskan pentingnya sinergi antara kepolisian dan media untuk menciptakan pemilu yang lancar dan damai.
